The charitable foundation Women’s Aid International, together with the Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) and the Care organization, distributed diapers and absorbent diaper pants to forcibly displaced people with disabilities.
Our Foundation has been repeatedly asked about the possibility of obtaining functional underwear for people with disabilities. Now this issue has arisen especially since more and more people are arriving in the Dnipro and Darnytsya districts from the east and south of Ukraine. Forced migrants spend considerable money on moving, renting an apartment, arranging life in a new city. Many people have lost their jobs. Payments received by people with disabilities are only sufficient for basic needs. Functional underwear is quite expensive and not every family can afford it. Especially if you take into account the fact that caring for a person with a disability is sometimes quite a difficult task. In addition, a person may need medicines, the prices of which have also increased.
What help was provided?
Diapers and absorbent diaper pants.
How much functional underwear could you get?
We issued a 3-month supply of diapers or absorbent diaper pants per person.
How many people received help?
51 people with disabilities received a supply of functional underwear. All recipients are forced migrants.
