Due to russian aggression, more and more women are forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in other regions of Ukraine. Usually, women move as families together with elderly parents and children. Many refugee women have settled in the Darnytskiy District and Dniprovskiy District of Kyiv and are trying to temporarily arrange their lives. Given the rising cost of even basic things, women sometimes cannot afford to buy everything they need. We understand well that it is important for women to support their health and well-being, as it is women who now often take on all the responsibilities of caring for children and helping elderly parents. Refugee women think about their own needs last. That is why we decided to provide such women with help in the form of hygiene kits.
The distribution point was organized in the Mykola Rudenko Library, located in the Darnytsky District of Kyiv, and in the Central District Library named after Pavlo Tychyna, located in the Dniprovskiy District.
Previously, we already conducted similar actions in these libraries.
100 refugee women received hygiene kits from the Women’s Aid International fund.
Each hygiene kit contained:
Sanitary kits were purchased with the support of the charity fund “Women’s Opportunities for Ukraine”. The Mykola Rudenko Library and the Central District Library named after Pavlo Tychyna provided us with space for distribution. We are grateful to the agency ARENA CS for the delivery of the kits.
